How to extend entry X visa in India

The individual needs to fill out the Visa Extension form and submit it to FRO/FRRO at least 30 days before the expiry of the visa. But one should not fill out the form earlier than 90 days of the expiry.
The person should enclose the required documents with the visa extension form. The requirement of documents may be different in the case of an visa extension . To apply for visa extension, an individual should have to pay fees as asked.
To check the structure of fees for extension permits, a person should have to contact to FRO/FRRO office.
During the visa extension process, a police verification report will be obtained by FRO/FRRO officers from the special branch officer of a jurisdictional police station in the prescribed format.

1. One recent passport size photograph.
2. Copy of passport/ visa/ registration certificate.
3. Visa extension form.
4. Original passport.
5. Copy of marriage certificate with copy of Indian passport and Indemnity bond.
6. Copy of birth certificate along with the copy of parents Indian passport.
7. Copy of valid notarized lease or rent agreement or C-form from the hotel or recent electricity/telephone bill with the letter from landlord, as a proof of residence.

1. Individuals of Indian origin who came to India on Tourist visa are eligible for conversion. FRRO/FRO make sure that the individuals are of Indian origin or held Indian passport previously or also if their parents or grandparents were permanent residents of India are eligible for X visa.
2. Foreigner who are married to valid Indian passport holder can apply for X visa by submitting relevant documents of the marriage and visa. Children who have Indian parents currently holding Indian Passport can also apply for X-visa.

1. Check the eligibility to get the visa converted and if they meet the requirements, then they can begin the process.
2. Individual can apply for the conversion application online and fill all the details from the official website of Indian Bureau of Immigration.
3. Post the application online as well as in physical form to the FRRO/FRO. For submitting the application individual need to appointment.
4. Once the application is submitted to the FRRO/FRO, the local authorities will do the background check.
5. The application can only be passed by the MHA.
6. The MHA will check the application and issue the passport with the stamp, if all the details are correct.
